Ingredients
2.5
Tablespoons
Bacon grease
or the grease from cooking sausage works as well
1/2
Cup
All purpose flour
Milk
Salt & pepper to taste
Fork
Skillet
*Sausage pieces if you want sausage gravy
Instructions
If you have already been cooking bacon or sausage you have a skillet and fork out - should even have the bacon grease warm as well.
You will not need a ton of bacon grease. About 2.5 tablespoons - warm and melted.
Once the bacon grease is warm, slowly add the all-purpose flour while mixing with the fork.
Flour & bacon grease 'blobs'
Once you have made the flour and grease mixture, pour in the milk while stirring with the fork.
You will need to keep stirring to work out the 'blobs' of flour/bacon grease.
Add more milk as the gravy thickens until you have stirred the gravy and it is smoothed out to the consistency that you desire.
Add some salt and pepper to taste (I don't care for pepper so ours doesn't even get any!)
*If you would want to have sausage gravy this would be the time to add the chunks of sausage as well.
FINALLY - once you have it the way you like it, thicker or thinner, then spoon onto your biscuits, scrambled eggs, etc!
Whatever you desire!
